The Purpose
The Church, both Universal and local, exists for the glory of God. Those of us who trust in and follow Jesus are caught up in something much bigger than ourselves. Since the beginning, God has been calling forth His people in a display of redemption and reconciliation. Though creation now suffers the curse found in Genesis 3, the gospel of Jesus is the means by which the world is being made right. The gospel also carries with it the promise of ultimate renewal, and thus believers eagerly anticipate the return of Christ. The Church is the means by which God is continuing to deliver His gospel to the world. In light of this reality, the opportunity to be a part of a local body of believers is much more than a commitment to consistent attendance or active involvement. It is a divine call to be involved in the redemptive work of the One True God.
The Vision
According to the Bible and the leading of The Holy Spirit, our church is called to:
A. Prayer
Be a family that understands prayer and fasting, engaging in both, privately and corporately.
B. Discipleship
Be a family that makes and trains disciples of Jesus.
C. Family
Be a family united in righteousness, expressing love to one another, with accountability and forgiveness, despite flaw or failure.
D. Service
Serve everyone we encounter so that they would know the love of Jesus through our tangible expressions of love towards them.
E. Evangelism
Be a family that is passionate about God’s mission, working together, in our giftings, to expand the Kingdom of God through our witness, both locally and throughout the nations.
